City Views #205: Kranbahn

This street in Mülheim’s Siemens Technopark is called Kranbahnallee, literally Crane Rail Alley. You can see the reason for the strange name in this photo: the structures at the sides of the road are a giant crane on rails, the crane itself is located all the way in the back. I don’t think it is used much anymore today, it seems it is more like an industrial monument remembering the over 100-year-old history of this location. I have some more interesting photos from the Technopark which I will dig out soon.
