Stormy Weather II


Yesterday, I took a short detour to the two schools in our neighbourhood while I was in the vicinty collecting a parcel. There’s a parking lot with two huge old trees and one of them was hit so hard by Monday’s storm that the whole area is still cordoned off, as you can see here in this photo. I wonder if the left tree will be left standing, the right one still looks okay considering the circumstances. There are a lot of other heavily damaged and completely downed trees near there, including one of the last two japanese cherry blossoms. The rule, unfortunately, seems to be the higher you go and the more open the area the more damage the storm did.
