Halfway through December and on the 17th there
were still some nice-looking Chrysanthemum blossoms!

This shot from December 31 is definitively the last bird photo from 2015 :-).

City Views #500: Tourainer Ring

For the 500th City Views entry, here’s a last photo from the 1990 batch: a view over Mülheim’s Tourainer Ring from the pedestrian bridge in the direction of the street where we live – you can see the bright buildings in the center and a bit to the left. This area looks slightly different today – where the greenery is on the left, there is now a whole new stretch of buildings that was constructed in the early 1990s.

Moonstack #116: 2015 Leftover One

I have two Moon photos from last year left… this one from December 28 is more an excercise if it’s possible to make something out of a bunch of really foggy and cloudy shots. It somewhat worked.

Grumpy Magpie

The Magpies are still around too, although this one is from December 24. Today I saw several small birds fluttering around including the elusive long-tailed tits and some chaffinches, but unfortunately it was too dark to take decent photos – hopefully this is going to change soon.

City Views #499: City Hall Square

This is what Mülheim’s Rathausplatz used to look like in 1990, from an old photo I scanned together with the factory demolition images recently. It doesn’t look much different today from this perspective.

Winter Birds

The birds are very elusive this Winter, even though it has been relatively warm…
