And just for fun I’m going to seamlessy continue the Balcony Flowers into the new year with another photo of the now identified European Nightshade blossom from January 1. I only have a very few Balcony Flowers photos left right now, but I’m sure the first early spring flowers are not far away!

This gap between the houses of Mülheim’s Muhrenkamp didn’t even use to have stairs until the pedestrian bridge was built – before the so-called Bocksberg was just a dirt road down to the Dickswall. I don’t know much about the history of this peculiar little street, but I read somewhere that it was originally located 50 meters either to the East or to the West. This incarnation here must have been at this spot for more than 60 years, because it’s even visible on aerial photos from the 1950s.

I posted a few C64 mainboard macros a while ago in colour, but I also processed them in black and white. This group of chips has the two most iconic ones in them!

This is the last Balcony Flower photo from 2015 – from December 30! I basically threw the mystery weed blossom in as a joke, but thanks to +Patricia Bridges over on Google+ I found out yesterday that this is Solanum nigrum, European Nightshade. It must have been imported by a bird or even a squirrel!

Actually I didn’t want to take this photo again too, but then it all lined up so well – this is looking westwards from the left pedestrian bridge over Mülheim’s Dickswall and if you look closely, you can even see the other bridge far in the distance – which is actually only about 250 meters.
